POSITION PURPOSE
This is a customer facing position focusing on enhancing our member experience by exceeding member’s expectation through health coaching, customer service, facility operations, personal training and group fitness participation.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides excellent customer service in all aspects of our operation. From new member sign up, member onboarding, and continual member use.
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of fitness center, including attending to locker room amenities and services (towels/laundry) and fitness floor cleanliness and organization (cleaning equipment, proper storage).
• Working with team to provide fun, interactive activities and programs to keep members motivated to workout
• Promotes, Markets, and Facilitates virtual and in-person Personal Coaching Sessions with members
• Designs individual and group exercise/health coaching programs tailored to the needs and attainable goals of specific clients; programs that are varied, progressive and are geared toward improving the client’s overall health and wellness
• Delivers safe, effective, fun, professional, comprehensive, and interesting workouts for all clients
• Teaches group fitness classes where applicable
• Personal Trains members as preferred, as additional compensation
• Assist in development and delivery of marketing plan for club initiatives throughout the year
• Effectively operate the membership management system for keeping accurate member information
• May be asked to assist in other areas of the fitness center from time-to-time
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires background in teaching group exercise and/or personal training. Skilled in safe and effective forms of strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility training. Requires an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate with a variety of people. Requires a passion and sincere interest in fitness and health and a desire to positively influence everyone we encounter through the fitness center.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• 1+ year experience in fitness center is preferred
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification required
• Current CHU approved Health Coaching, Personal Training and/or Group Fitness certification is required
